Digital Design 2
This course is designed to prepare students for careers in graphic design, focusing on the significance of digital design in today's world and nurturing creativity and problem-solving skills. Students will gain expertise in creating versatile images using computer software for mass production, web, and print media. The curriculum covers elements and principles of design, the history of graphic design, and traditional practices. In addition, students will receive training in industry-standard programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. They will also explore a digital fine art program called SketchBook to understand how digital tools can replicate traditional art mediums. The course emphasizes the importance of starting with handcrafted designs before transitioning to digital tools, as all design and art programs initially stemmed from traditional concepts and techniques.
